Third Spec-a-thon Local Accommodations

The site of the Third JML Spec-a-thon is the IT University of Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark (Google Maps). We are using meeting room MR-4A05, on the 4th floor of the building, for the entire week of activities.

Air Travel

The nearest commercial airport is Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) (IATA Code: CPH), which is serviced by several major U.S. and several international airlines. Flights are scheduled throughout the day, every day. The airport is on line M2 of the Copenhagen Metro, making it easy and cheap to travel between the airport and the city.

Ground Transportation

Copenhagen has one of the most comprehensive public transportation networks in the world, especially given its size. Depending on where you are staying in the city, there are several bus routes that stop near the ITU campus. ITU is on line M1 of the Copenhagen Metro at the DR Byen/Universitetet stop. Google Maps gives very good public transportation directions in Copenhagen; however, it consistently suggests the Islands Brygge Metro stop for ITU, which is a bit further away than the DR Byen/Universitetet stop.

Hotels

There are several hotel options in reasonable proximity to ITU. We have no specific arrangements with them, and there are other options aside from the ones listed here.
In addition, many private rooms are available for short-term rent in Copenhagen; airbnb.com is one place to search for such rooms.
